Engineer Research and Development Center:  Patenting Potential
Top Innovators
As illustrated above, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, through its Engineer Research and Development Center, may leverage the significant capabilities of facilities such as the Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL) and the Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) to promote progress in maintaining Army infrastructure.  Patenting the innovative discoveries made at testing laboratories such as the CERL and GSL may create valuable intellectual property that the Corps and its partners across the private sector, public sector, and academia may leverage to advance the infrastructure on which Army personnel depend for training and support.
